The most important part of any bio-active enclosure (after your spider of course!) is the clean up crew. These super cute critters are some of the favourites for use as both clean up crew, and personal entertainment. Isopods are your very own organic waste processing machines and help to enrich the soil. They’re fantastic substrate aerators too, so they have huge positive impact on the overall health of a terrarium or vivarium.

Here you can find a nice little selection of the ones I use for my own enclosures as a clean up crew, as well as some other rarer more ornamental species that I breed and keep in their own separate enclosures if they have a higher price tag or need a different habitat to the one my spiders require.

These critters are always busy doing their cleaning chores so they're great to watch and can be seen trawling their space for food throughout the day, which makes them great as both a quirky pet and diligent custodian.

They come in tubs of 10 mixed size isopods with some extra pods included to make up for any that might perish during transit. They are taken from my master colony so may also come with some of the substrate, pregnant females, isopod babies and the odd springtail as well, all perfectly happy living together peacefully.

With these being a living creature, I will not post them out if the temperature is below 10 degrees Celsius or above 20 degrees Celsius. Please choose either first class shipping if just isopods are on your order, or the special delivery option for spiders if you have ordered a spider as well.
