Whether you're absolutely terrified of spiders like I once was, still at the research stage of your pet jumping spider journey, or are a seasoned addict with a huge collection of them, everyone is welcome at JSB. These super cute jumping spiders are helping thousands of people overcome their arachnophobia and changing perceptions about creepy crawlies.
We think jumping spiders are more than "just bugs" and are committed to making sure these spiders get the very best of care whilst in captivity with us. We encourage their habitat to be as close to the one they would have in the wild by creating a sort of mini forest that are bio-active environments for them to live in. Most of the products we recommend or sell are those used for this purpose, but those who use just natural and even fantasy enclosure decor are still welcome to join the JSB family.
If you're still unsure as to if you're in the right place, take a look around, or find us on social media for more up to date photos about what we're up to.
I want to share these wonderful little jumping spiders with people that wouldn't normally think of them as being cute pets. I myself have overcome arachnophobia with the help of jumping spiders and hope they can help others as well.
The spiders I breed are hand selected from a small number of popular exotic species within the UK pet jumping spider community including Phidippus Regius in several locale varieties, Phidippus Texanus, Phidippus Pius, and Hyllus Diardi. In the future I’m hoping to add some of the less common jumping spider species to the breeding projects as well.
So a quick introduction to the face behind the business, I'm Victoria, hi, and also welcome!
My first encounter with a Jumping Spider was when I purchased one for myself to help with my arachnophobia, and since then they've become somewhat of an addiction. I mean, who wouldn't fall in love with their big googly eyes, magnificent eyelashes, and all that fuzz? I will share the full story on my blog sometime of exactly how I went from terrified of spiders, to owning and breeding them.
I am originally from York, but my Scottish husband is in the Military so we move around the UK from base to base quite often.
I also have 2 horses, two cats, and a snake, six tarantulas, two praying mantis, and 24 Blue Death Feigning beetles.
I love a cocktail, and providing its 6pm somewhere in the world, I will drink one, or ten!😉
I'm also a jewellery designer and have a shop on Etsy where I sell the jewellery I make, after-all, something has to fund my jumping spider addiction!
